Caleb Chan - Photography
Hi! I'm Caleb, a '28 CS major at WPI. I've been programming for a long time and have plenty of experience with web development, and I'm excited to be part of Soft Eng to put those skills to use! In my free time, I enjoy working on a bunch of personal programming projects: recently, I've been working on web apps like a karaoke video editor and a WPI course calendar generator; Linux desktop utilities like a monitor layout switcher, a window minimap, and a wallpaper manager; and developer libraries like a KDL parser for Go.
I've been interested in photography for a while and have started to get into it more seriously in the past year. I enjoy taking photos of landscapes and nature as well as the occasional portrait. I'd like to get into astrophotography at some point, but I don't have the equipment for it yet unfortunately. I try to keep my editing style pretty natural and simple but I do like to experiment with different techniques and styles. I also enjoy learning about the technical aspects like color theory and lighting to improve my photos or achieve certain aesthetics. Photography, albeit a bit expensive, is a lot of fun and a great creative outlet!
